The Borough of Sea Girt Zoning Office is responsible for reviewing all zoning permit applications for compliance to the Sea Girt Borough land use regulations. Prior to undertaking any improvements to your property or any of the structures, you should consult with the Zoning Officer to see if your project requires a zoning permit and zoning approvals.
Zoning permits are required for new construction on a property, installation of a pool, renovations to an existing home such as adding a habitable floor to an existing structure or expanding the existing footprint of any structure. Additional zoning permit approvals are needed for any landscaping where one renovates, modifies, removes, or adds to any impervious surfaces such as a driveway, walkway, or adding a patio.

This Ordinance, adopted by the Council on June 8, 2016 revises sections of Chapter XVII, Zoning, of the Borough of Sea Girt Municipal Code, to establish an impervious coverage maximum on residential lots in the Borough of Sea Girt, among other changes.
